Angel is a rescue from a Kill Pen. She was seen on the internet. The look in her eye was complete defeat. She is a 24 year old Thoroughbred that was used as a broodmare. When she arrived at the rescue she literally fell to the ground. When we got her up and into her stall she went down again and we swear she started to draw a heart in the shavings…at least we like to think that is what she was doing. She is definetly safe now and will live out the rest of her life in peace.

Shaggy is a pony in his late 20’s that was rescued. He came to us with his pony friend Scooby. Shaggy is very sweet. He bathes, clips, and stands well for the farrier. He has put on weight and seems to be doing well.

Pony is mid-twenties. Rescued from a bad environment in Loxahatchee.

Millie was our first rescue from a Kill Pen. She is a 14 year-old Appalossa mare. Mille arrived underweight and very neglected feet. After a few months of good nutrition and farrier care, she is walking better and feeling comfortable. She just wants to be hugged and is the sweetest horse at the rescue.

Nablina is a 20 plus year-old Appendix who we rescued from a “rescue” that had been shut down. She was underweight but, has adapted to her new home quickly and has gained weight. She has numerous tumors all over her but, she eats well and enjoys her time outside and seems to feel healthy.
